The problem with snoring is most of don’t know we are doing it until our spouse jabs us in the ribs and snarls something like “Role over RIGHT NOW!” Although that might seem mildly amusing to you, but not to your husband or wife, snoring can lead to serious health problems. One of the biggest concerns for heavy snorers is Sleep Anpea. This is a condition in which you literally stop breathing. This can last up to 15 seconds, where your body is not taking in oxygen! Suddenly your brain kicks in to high gear, and jolts you in to taking a deep breath, usually accompanied by a loud snort. This also takes you out of your deep sleep, disturbing the sleep cycle your body needs.
And what about those weird masks attached to a machine feeding you oxygen under a small amount of pressure, designed to keep the passages open. Thanks, but no thanks. There is help though. After exploring, and rejecting most of these possible solutions, I found a system that worked for me.
It is a series of exercises you do that trains your breathing patterns, and also opens up your throat which removes the tension that restricts air, and makes you snore.
Now this is not an overnight cure, it took me about 2 weeks of exercises to get things right.
