Did you know that there are approximately 18 million Americans have sleep apnea? The statistics are alarming considering that 1 in 15 people in U.S. suffer from this problem every night. Many people suffer from sleep apnea for several reasons. For the person suffering from this disease, there must be a solution because it is a problem that can be a murderer.
Sleep apnea machines are a way for the person with this problem may be a little easier. They are also called CPAP machines for continuous positive airway pressure. This makes it a little clearer. They do exactly what they say they do. They are hand-held machines with lots of different features.
They have a mask and a hose, a bi-level or C-Flex pressure and a data card. Okay, so now they wonder what they are and what they do.
The mask is pretty self explanatory, but the one thing you should do is set properly. Otherwise the air can escape and that is defeating the purpose, besides being a nuisance to someone who is trying to sleep.
The main reason can drop the mask is that the person suffering from sleep apnea are supposed to sleep on their side. If you've ever tried to sleep on your side with a mask on your face, you know your pillow can push and make the mask slip and slide. So you must choose a small mask and a couple different types. One that sends air at the mouth and nose or one that sends the air to your nose is available.
The following is the bi-level or C-Flex pressure. The pressure is either a pressure continuous, such as older models had a level or two. This means that the pressure is not as high as you breathe out. C call-Flex, so this is a feature that if they have not made it very difficult to breathe. One model will increase the pressure from time to time (usually 5-minute intervals) until it reaches full capacity.
There's heated humidifiers are designed to keep the air is too dry. It also includes a battery pack. Also come with an adapter that can be used to connect the car battery.
A data storage is also available which records the information that is collected as you are sleeping. Machines for sleep apnea come with a selection of CA. Can be used in the U.S. or Europe. The hose that comes with the machine is the standard 6 feet though, you can get longer, up to 12 feet. More than 12 feet and although the pressure is not maintained. If you need a hose over 12 feet you have to use a machine that has increased the pressure.
Sleep Apnea Machines Team are very beneficial to those suffering from this problem. Without these, more people may well be many who succumb to this disease.

A CPAP machine is usually done with either a mask that goes over the mouth and nose or a mask that covers only the nose. NCPAP or just type nose is the most common. People with severe and moderate sleep apnea have reduced their blood pressure using NCPAP machine.
People who use the CPAP suffering from coronary artery disease have fewer heart problems – the main heart failure. Often it may be necessary to further sleep studies to ensure this is the correct treatment and functioning satisfactorily. Often the CPAP machine will have to be adjusted.

Some people have reported nightmares and dreams more than usual during the beginning of the use of the machine. This usually disappears. A dry nose, sore throat or nose bleeds may be eased by running a humidifier when you are sleeping and use of CPAP. There are other side effects such as pain head but seeing your doctor and warning of these problems is the best way to care for them.
The benefits of CPAP sleep apnea far outweigh the problems when considering the alternative that ultimately could be a heart attack, stroke or even death.
