Take home baby monitors?
My son is 10 days old. Born Monday, 5. We took him home on Wednesday 7th. we took him to hospital following morning because he stopped breathing twice and was very yellow. It could not get him to eat. was 8 hours without eating. said it was jaundice. He spent 3 nights with special lights. They also monitored him and apnea monitor. who made a sleep apnea test to see what might have prompted him to quit breathing (results not back yet). we make today, but what is on an apnea monitor. I just wanted to know how many there are other parents who have babies on apnea monitors and the time they were or have been in them? I also wanted information out there about babies and sleep apnea. thank all
My son used to stop breathing or gasp when she was only 3 days of age (which was not too early or something). I took him to doctors and said it appeared that had respiratory syndrome diskette (laryngomalacia). An endoscope confirmed. He was on an apnea monitor when he slept during the first 2 months of his life.

children sleep

How well do we really know the families of our Children € ™ s friends? Not great, IA € ™ m afraid. And these are people whose homes for our children sometimes spend more time on themselves, especially as they grow. They start having sleepovers a couple of times a week, and most often do not know what kind of people these parents are, what their homes are like, what our kids are having for dinner, where to sleep, and so on. At best wea € ™ ve met them once or twice, or maybe just spoke on the phone. We know that parents who are good, and when Children € ™ s our friends sleep in our house, we take good care of them as we were. We assume that other parents are in the same way, and unfortunately, sometimes just isnâ t ™ € so.
My daughter had a friend once met at summer camp. The girls were inseparable and often to sleep in any of our or your home. I met with parents and can not ™ € say they felt an especially good in them, but they can stay with the girls again, and had a good home. I did all the drop off and pick, and rarely saw them at the time. My daughter told me some strange stories about the arguments happened while she was there, and I began to doubt my decision to let him stay there.
The protection of children is one reason more justified to investigate the persons whose care is entrusted their security. Since I asked for the number of parents € ™ cell phone, I had a way to find out more about their backgrounds retreat Cell Phone Lookup. I didnâ ™ € t like what they unearthed not at all. The stepfather had a couple of DUI, and although, as far as I know, I didnâ ™ € t drive my daughter or not had much to do with it, I decided to end the slumber parties. I really liked the children under my watchful eye at all times anyway, so his friends were always welcome in my house.
As often happens, once the decision is made, the circumstances immediately confirm our predictions. When I arrived at these peoplee ™ € s a house at night to pick up my daughter, there were no police at his door. As a result, there was an explosive argument between the stepfather and his stepdaughter, and both parents were obviously intoxicated. I grabbed my daughter and, needless to say, never returned to that house. She felt uncomfortable to not argue with me.
Again I have never let any of my children out of my view, without investigating the people who were going to stay with the first. Reverse Cell Phone Lookup works every time, I said enough about the families can raise red flags or confirm the good impressions. Taking that extra step is absolutely worth the peace of mind it provides. Itâ € ™ s the least we can do.

obstructive sleep apnea pictures

Sleep apnea is one of the most common of all sleep disorders and affects approximately eighteen million people in the United States. A sleep disorder characterized by interrupted breathing during sleep, is also undoubtedly the most dangerous of sleep disorders, as it deprives oxygen essential to the brain and can sometimes be fatal.
There are two completely different forms of sleep apnea. Central sleep apnea is, in essence, a neurological condition in which breathing is interrupted as a result of signals sent from the brain. Obstructive sleep apnea on the contrary, in essence, a mechanical problem in which the windpipe is blocked, either by excess tissue or by the collapse or abnormal relaxation of the muscles around the windpipe. In either case, however the results are essentially identical to regular interruptions to normal breathing that deprive the brain of oxygen and put the victim at greater risk of things as high blood pressure, heart attack and stroke.
Unfortunately, the diagnosis of sleep apnea is not always easy, because Snoring, a common symptom and often results in sleep apnea snoring is known as the disease is also present as a symptom other conditions. Snoring is usually present in cases of sleep apnea because the brain responds to reduced oxygen by awakening the victim enough to restart the breathing process and this usually causes snoring.
This repeated awakening at night also causes a very poor quality sleep and it is not uncommon for sufferers of sleep apnea to get up in the morning feeling more tired than when he went to bed. This also results in a feeling exhaustion during the day and an irresistible desire to sleep.
However, fatigue resulting from poor sleep quality is only part of the picture and a range other symptoms usually also be present, such as morning headaches, poor memory and concentration problem.
Without treatment, the increasing exhaustion of sleep apnea can cause severe psychological problems from the susceptibility to depression and progressing with remarkable changes in mood and behavior.
Both obstructive sleep apnea and central sleep apnea can be treated and, if the problem is caught at an early stage, treatment often is reasonably easy. For example, a mild case of obstructive sleep apnea from nasal congestion that can usually be treated with little more than a course of decongestants. Likewise, a lot of cases of sleep apnea are not very serious may be treated with a mask that is worn during sleep and provides a constant air pressure to keep the airway open. Finally, the most serious cases surgery could be sleep apnea necessary and can be very effective, but can lead to various complications, and must be approached with care.
Probably the most important thing for recall the treatment of sleep apnea is that, as has the risk of potentially fatal respiratory failure patients should not be tempted to use pills sleep or to take other sleep enhancers without the approval of a doctor.
The natural resources of sleep without doubt, provide a complement effective prescription drugs and herbal remedies which are intended to improve both the quality and duration of sleep and can help in the management of drowsiness Excessive daytime, usually caused by sleep apnea. Similarly, things such as aromatherapy, color therapy and meditation and guided relaxation can help reduce anxiety and insomnia that comes with sleep apnea.

sleep apnea kidney disease
Sleep apnea is a condition not to be taken lightly and is a condition that will not disappear by itself over time. Sleep apnea is actually classified as a condition of "progressive", meaning that, like heart disease, cancer and diabetes worsens with time. Considerable controversy exists in the medical community about the effects of sleep apnea has on other medical conditions. That said, there is a clear link between sleep apnea and a variety physical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, heart failure, myocardial infarction, pulmonary hypertension, stroke and kidney failure.
Researchers are looking more and more on why these conditions are related to problems arising from the upper airways of a person with sleep apnea. It is well known, of course, being overweight, smoking and alcohol abuse contribute to sleep apnea and in turn lead to greater likelihood of developing heart disease and high blood pressure. However, it is unclear why some people without these elements in your lifestyle still have sleep apnea.
When you stop breathing during sleep apnea of the blood shows increased levels of carbon dioxide and reducing oxygen levels. Consequently, a series of physical and chemical events takes place within the body that increases the possibility of other problems that arise in the body.
In people who suffer sleep apnea and also are overweight, researchers have discovered that have high levels of immune factors called tumor necrosis factor-alpha and interleukin. High levels of these factors can cause severe inflammation that can lead to cell damage, especially within the arteries. One study found that individuals with high tumor necrosis factor-alpha levels were excessive fatigue, shortness of breath and weak heart pumping. However, I must say that at this time no clear causal link has been scientifically established between sleep apnea and heart disease.
A number of studies have been conducted to examine hypertension and sleep apnea and has found no connection between the two. For example, a 2000 study looked at patients for four years, and reported that the largest number of episodes of sleep apnea they had experienced in the first year is an increased risk of developing hypertension in third or fourth year. Even in those who snore or who experienced only mild sleep apnea had a small but nevertheless higher than the normal link high blood pressure.
In the past the relationship between sleep apnea and blood pressure was considered strongly linked to obesity. However, Recent studies point to the fact hypertension is particularly apparent in those with sleep apnea, regardless of how much they weigh.
The pressure blood has an effect on sleep apnea, as it varies greatly during episodes of repeated sleep apnea. These fluctuations are also associated with changes in the form of sudden increases in voltage that occur in the sympathetic nervous system. The control system of involuntary muscles, especially those occurring heart and blood vessels. He firmly believes that as time passes these variations could play an important role in the development of permanent and term hypertension long.

Can I ask my daughter to be checked for sleep apnea? How do they test a child for this?
The other night, the patterns breathing out of my daughter when she was out of sleep. (Doc says it happens to babies) to sleep with the angle sensor under the mattress care and left. I ran into her room and that seem real quiet. He pushed me back and moved her tiny hands. I'm very scared. The sensor monitoring of Anglecare went twice that night. Trying to find out what happens …… and what to do next. I talked to his doctor and told me to keep an eye on it for the nights and that was it. She is 7 weeks old
You should demand that must be checked for sleep apnea and if your doctor will not do … then get another doctor. Whatever is, is a package with wires that "stick" to his little chest and monitor your breathing. He stops breathing for a second monitor and to be alert and awake surprising. My son had to use one a month. It's really complicated in principle. And it is hard to treat. But better safe than sorry. Being so Young as it is, you probably have to wear it all day, except for the bathrooms for a while and then stayed with the recording device from the screen and read results. Good luck and God bless

snoring cold

Snoring is usually not a problem for the person making the noise unless a medical condition is causing the problem or is actually lost sleep as result. But for those living with someone who snores, sleep can be impossible to obtain. If snoring is a major problem for the person doing it or the person living with it, it's time to start exploring options for treatment of snoring. These options can range from simple adjustments of sleep position major surgery.
Before you panic that surgery is the only option is a good idea to review the situation. Ask yourself while the state has been present? Is it due to the illness of a minor during cold or otherwise which has eroded the ability to breathe at night? If snoring is a problem long-term, outside help could be in order. If due to a cold or is a relatively new, on-the-counter treatments or even a change of positions sleep may help.
If snoring is a fairly new night view, it might have changed your sleeping position lately. Sleeping in the back tends to promote snoring, so try at his side or stomach. For pregnant women this may be impossible, but like all the other inconveniences of pregnancy, this also pass.
Other major causes of snoring include:
* Weight. If you are overweight, even slightly, this can create problems with the flow night air. As little as lose a few pounds can help reduce snoring episodes.
* Stay away from alcohol at night. This has been demonstrated that increases incidents of snoring.
* Stay away from sedatives and other drugs that cause drowsiness. It has been shown to relax the throat muscles to the point of increasing obstruction of the airways that may be related to snoring.
* Sinus infections, colds, etc.. Diseases time can increase a person's propensity to snore. In general, snoring pass along the disease.
If a cold or weight, do not seem to be the cause of snoring, more research may be required. A number of in-counter items such as strips of the nose, breathing masks and even saline nose spray can help. However, the dream, if the cause is unclear, and the loss is becoming a problem or interfere with the quality of life, a doctor's visit is likely in order.
Medical treatments for snoring can be very basic or very complicated. In the mouth, generally more 90 percent of those with a condition related to sleep apnea can be treated without using an invasive technique. If surgery is called for help solve the problem, can be targeted to address a number of different conditions. Some common issues that cause snoring is a need to eliminate or reduce tissue soft in the back of the throat, the necessity of the tonsils and adenoids out and to sinus or septum issues.
Snoring is not a problem real unless it interferes with sleep – yours or someone else. If this is the case, a solid treatment of snoring may be the only option. No need to go through life with lack of sleep if there is help.
